AFTER DRIVEN THE CAR INFREQUENTLY FOR MANY YEARS, THE SECOND OWNER TOOK THE CAR TO A WELL KNOWN BODY SHOP AND THE CAR WAS TOTALLY STRIPPED TO BARE FIBERGLASS AND REPAINTED. THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED FROM THE CAR SO IT COULD BE CLEANED AND DETAILED AS WAS THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. ALL RUBBER ITEMS AROUND THE DOORS AND DOOR JAMS WAS REPLACED AS WAS THE BUMMPERS AND ALL THE CHROME TRIM. THE OWNER HAD THE BODY SHOP ADD A 3rd TAIL LIGHT AT THE TIME AS THAT WAS HIS PRFERENCE AND A POPULAR MODIFICATION IN PAST YEARS. AFTER THE CAR WAS DONE THE OWNER FINALLY DECIDED IT WAS TOO NICE FOR HIM TO DRIVE , SO HE COVERED IT AND STORED IT IN HIS GARAGE FOR SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE SELLING IT TO THE 3rd OWNER WHICH WAS A COUSIN OF THE 2nd OWNER. THE 3rd OWNER BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2002. HE REPLACED THE ORGINAL VALVE STEM SEALS, AND THE VALVE SPRINGS, WHICH HE FELT WAS NECESSARY, SINCE THE CAR HAD BEEN DROVE VERY LITTLE IN THE PAST YEARS!! HE ALSO REMOVED THE TRANSMISSION AND REPLACED THE ORGINAL CLUTCH WITH A NEW CENTERFORCE CLUTCH. HE CLEANED THE BELLHOUSING AND TRANSMISSION AND PAINTED THEM CLEARCOAT LACQUER AT THIS TIME. ACCORDING TO THE CORVETTE BLACK BOOK THE CAR WITH VIN# 106780 WAS BUILT IN LATE NOV 1965. THE BUILD CODE ON THE BLOCK IS K-12-5 WHICH TRANSLATES TO NOV. 12,1965. THE ENGINE STARTS AND RUNS GREAT, HAS OUTSTANDING OIL PRESSURE, WITH NO SMOKE OR NOISES!!! THE CAR HAS NEVER WRECKED BODY WITH NO CRACKS OR CHIPS IN THE PAINT!! THE FRAME IS A PERFECT RUST FREE KY FRAME. THE 3rd OWNER INSTALLED ALL NEW EXHAUST, NEW CARPETING, AND NEW LEATHER COVERS FOR THE SEATS!!! IT HAS A NEW MASTERCRAFT RADIAL TIRES AND A SET OF 7" 1967 STYLE RALLEY WHEELS WITH SMALL CAPS. ALL DASH GAUGES WORK PROPERLY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CLOCK.
